More about this Study:
Context: This study is the part completed in Andorra of a project called APTITUDE. The goal of this interregional project is to deploy, at the cross border region of the Pyrenees, actions to prevent dependence of elders; through the creation of a web of experts that promote care, training, investigation, and innovation in gerontology.
In fact, APTITUDE, under a single project, covers 10 territories spread over France (Haute-Garonne, Ariège, Hautes-Pyrénées, Pyrénées Orientales), Spain (Navarre and Catalonia: Barcelona, Lleida, Girona, Tarragona), and Andorra. Above all, this network aims to promote the creation of relations and links between professionals working in the field of old age and the elderly: health professionals, scientists, regional authorities, industrialists, entrepreneurs, politicians, users’ associations, elderly volunteers, etc.
In other words, the APTITUDE project consists of a research, development, and innovation team, which is responsible for developing a series of programs such as ICOPE (Integrated Care for the Elderly), Vivifrail, the AMICOPE multi-component intervention, and the Optimage program.
