Could we measure oxygen saturation through the voice of the patient?
Smart Dyspnea, the early assesment that may help saving lives
Description of the Study:
- Title: Correlation between the Roth Test and Oxygen Saturation in Patients with COVID-19.
- Principal investigator: Raúl Ferrer-Peña.
- Co-investigators: Sergio Lerma-Lara.
- Study Population: 114 individuals from 18 to 90 years old.
- Study Type: Cross-section observational study.
- Design: Transversal study.
Objectives of the Study:
Principal Objective: To know the correlation between oxygen saturation through a pulsioxymeter with Roth’s test.
More about this Study:
Scientific Context: Dyspnea is one of the leading factors of bad prognosis in COVID-19 patients. Early detection of low blood oxygen saturation could save the lives of many people, but pulse oxymeters are not accessible for everyone. Smart Dyspnea aims to provide a reliable, easy-to-use test that can detect dyspnea with a 91% accuracy (Roth’s test).
Added Value: This study permits to evaluate usefulness of measuring oxygen saturation through a clinical test which uses the voice of the patient.
